Biomass Burning |
- Sanitize RWAs to stop burning of dry leaves or any other type of waste.
- Build Community Support.
- Training of Security Agencies to observe and stop organic waste burning.
- Better management of Dung Cake.
- Stop burning of agricultural waste.
|
MSW Burning |
- Proper Collection of MSW and maintain weekly and monthly mass balance waste collection and disposal.
- Night Patrolling and Surveillance Team.
- Strengthen door-to-door and commercial areas collection; especial attention at vegetable and fruit markets and economical weaker areas.
- Maintain weekly and monthly mass balance waste collection and disposal.
- Training of Security Agencies to observe and stop waste burning.
- Preferably collection and waste transportation is done early morning or late night to avoid traffic hinderance.
- Tyre burning must be identified and stopped.
- Robust and functional complaint redressal system.
- Surveillance at waste landfill and dump sites to prevent fire and system to douse any fires.
|
Construction |
- Proper handling and storage of raw material: covered the storage and provide the windbreakers.
- Vehicle cleaning and specific fixed wheel washing on leaving the site and damping down of haul routes.
- No storage (no matter how small) of construction material near roadside (up to 10 m from the edge of the road).
- Actual construction area should be covered by a fine screen.
- Wind speed reduction for large construction sites.
- Sensitize construction workers and contract agency through workshops.
- Maintain minimum 2% of moisture in materials except cement.
- Wet suppression in plant area.
- Enforcement of C&D Waste management rules.
- Brick Path for movement of Vehicles in construction premises.
|
Concrete Batching Plant. |
- Brick-paved haul road with dust-free maintenance.
- Maintain minimum 2% of moisture in materials except cement.
- All transfer points and conveyor belts should be fully covered.
- Proper handling and storage of raw material: covered the storage and provide the windbreakers.
- Vehicle cleaning and specific fixed wheel washing on leaving the site and damping down of haul routes.
|
Vehicles |
- Vehicles Interstate buses should be on CNG/Electric
- Commercial Vehicle PUC should be accepted by authorised agency of respective brands.
- Industries/construction agencies must be encouraged to use Bharat stage VI vehicles for transportation of raw and finished products.
- Check overloading through monitoring platform: Expedited installation of weigh-inmotion bridges and machines at all entry points to Delhi.
- GPF/DPF should be explored on petrol/diesel vehicles.
- Identification and decongestion of highly congested traffic points.
|
Industry |
- All drycleaning/solvent-based industries should have recovery system
- The re-treading of one tyre generates 1 to 1.5 kg of scrap rubber. The scrap shall be properly collected and disposed to recyclers. It should not dump in nearby areas unscientifically.
- Firewood or PNG and adhesive are used for re-treading operations and smoke generated by gaseous pollution should be vented off using a chimney/stack with adequate height.
- The tyre, during the process of pyrolysis at a temperature above approximately 250 ºC, releases liquid oil, it shall be stored in a suitable tank in a safe condition.
- Carbon black shall be conveyed through a hydraulic/ screw conveyor in closed conditions.
- The excess uncondensed gases from the reactor shall be stored under compressed conditions in a tank of suitable design.
- Adsorbers: Vapour-phase adsorption process use the property of large surface area of solids to adsorb and concentrate some pollutants (mostly VOCs) preferentially.
- Sideways collection of fumes from melting and casting operation.
|
Road Dust |
- Maintain less than 2gm/m2 of silt load through vacuum assisted weepers/water sprinkling.
- It is more important that the condition of the roads is adequately maintained and paved wall to wall. Broken roads are a source of silt accumulation and particle generation.
- Robust and functional complaint redressal system.
- Street sweeping machines should be properly maintain for suction, filter maintenance, ensure leakage free operation from filters, disposal of collected dust with 2% or more moisture level, record of collected mass of dust.
- Street sweeping and water washing must be undertaken in night time to avoid traffic jam and hinderance.
|
Loading and Unloading |
- Loading and Unloading area should be covered with flexible plastic sheets and the fogging nozzles should come into operation from the sides and top to suppress the dust.
|
Decongestion of Roads at high traffic areas |
- Strict action on roadside encroachment. (Karol Bagh like areas).
- Mechanized multi storey parking at bus stands, railway stations and big commercial areas.
|
Coal and Fly ash |
- Coal and Fly ash All flyash ponds active or abandoned should have dense vegetation or fully moist with more than 4% moisture.
- Fly ash must collected from restaurants/hotels.
